 The
Department responds to medical emergencies with Louisville Metro
EMS. Currently this team is staffed primarily with firefighters. However,
the Department has memberships available for those who do not want
to be firefighters, but are willing to help their community by responding
to medical emergencies. These members require an EMT certification
